Step-by-step installation photos:
Step 1: Slide tabs under top latch and slide backwards until snug.

Step 2: Insert provided bolt through holes

Step 3: Tighten nut on bolt

Step 4: Close flag inside mailbox door. After initial installation, the tab should be gently adjusted once for a good fit. It is not designed to be bent back & forth regularly, which can cause the tab to break.

It is big enough for me to see from the house so it saves trips to the mailbox that are not necessary. It looks good, and works well.
Worked great to be able to see when mail arrives. Our school's mailbox is about 50 yards from the front door and our mail delivery can be any time of day. This has saved many wasted trips to the mailbox, particularly on rainy or snowy days!
We've had one of these for at least 12 years on our mail box and it finally needed welding... so we searched...but there it was! A great product and pretty easily seen from 200 feet.
